Supervision
Summit has a strong, experienced management team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities: Each member has an average of eight years industry experience, enabling effective, professional contract management. Our clients can then enjoy the kind of comfort level that comes with knowing there is a dependable team in the field.
At the beginning of each season, Summit conducts team-building workshops to develop a cohesive management team.
Three levels of field management work together to provide our clients maximum efficiency:
Supervisors
Assistant supervisors
Forepersons
Support Staff
Supervisors are the liaison between you, the client, and Summit. It is a supervisor's responsibility to ensure that an effective, two-way communication system is in place so that both Summit and our clients have a clear understanding of expectations.
The Supervisors coordinate all aspects of a contract, ensuring efficiency throughout. The ultimate responsibility and accountability for a contract's success lies with the supervisor.
Assistant supervisors assess tree quality on the block. They communicate positive reinforcement and bring forth solutions for concerns to forepersons and the supervisor. Assistant supervisors also help with camp tasks, tree running, and contract maintenance.
Crew-bosses are the front line of our management team. They are hardworking and dedicated leaders. They manage all aspects of crew activity, including safety, training, quality control, and motivation. Forepersons are trained to lead by example, working hard and setting the bar high for planters. They are the driving force behind our success.
Support Staff help to enforce quality on the block by checking quality and ensuring that the other staff have time to enforce quality. Support staff help to ensure camp is running smoothly and efficiently, as well as running tree's when necessary and checking quality on the block as required.
